Cookies and browser storage
AIOS uses sign-in cookies and browser storage. Necessary cookies support the session and its security. Preferences and usage statistics are offered separately and remain optional.
Necessary sign-in storage
aios_session maintains the session. aios_refresh renews it and aios_remember records the “Stay signed in” choice. They are HttpOnly. Without that choice they are session cookies; with it, refresh and remember cookies are limited to 30 days, while the access cookie follows token expiry. The legacy sign-in mode may retain access for up to 7 days.
Choices and preferences
aios-cookie-choice records your choices in localStorage for 180 days. aios-site-language and aios-site-theme remember language and theme only if preferences are allowed. Withdrawing this choice removes these two site preferences. Local storage may be unavailable depending on your browser.
Optional statistics
When this option and the corresponding service are enabled, AIOS measures visits and estimated active time in the signed-in workspace, grouped by school, role and feature. This measurement does not use conversation content. Declining prevents optional collection; withdrawal applies to future events. No advertising pixel is integrated into this version of the public site.
Change your choice
The “Manage cookies” button in the footer reopens settings. You can accept, decline or customise options. Clearing sign-in cookies signs you out; clearing browser data may also remove local documents, including the canvas.
